Nicole’s educational journey reflects her adaptability and willingness to face new challenges. She began high school at Holderness School in New Hampshire before transferring to Methuen High School in Massachusetts. After completing her sophomore year, she moved to Chelmsford High School in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, for her senior year. This decision led to a published article by her former school asking her to reconsider her move. Despite the attention, she forged ahead with her choice and graduated from Chelmsford, beginning her drive to succeed on her terms.

After high school, Nicole took a significant step by enrolling at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida, in 2015. Moving to a new city and starting at a new college was no small feat, but the experience exposed her to diverse perspectives and personal growth. After spending some time in Florida, she returned to Massachusetts to enroll at Middlesex Community College in Lowell, where she pursued a course in business management. The knowledge gained from this course helped her build a strong foundation for her professional endeavors.

Athletic Accomplishments

Nicole has always been an athlete at heart, excelling in multiple sports. From softball to snowboarding, her competitive spirit and dedication to athletic pursuits have been a driving force in her life. She has played softball for many years, competing for several teams in leagues such as USA, NSA, and ASA. This early exposure to team sports helped her build leadership and teamwork skills that would benefit her in all areas of life.

Nicole also became a varsity tennis player in high school, participating in numerous USTA tournaments. Her competitive nature and dedication to improvement earned her multiple awards for athletic performance.

However, one of her most significant achievements came in 2007, when Nicole won the gold medal in Boardercross, a snowboarding event. This victory was a milestone in her sports career, leading to recognition as a Sports Illustrated champion. She also received a Judges' Choice Award for placing in the top three across all competitions, further solidifying her status as a standout athlete.

Nicole’s athletic success has enhanced her physical abilities and taught her important life lessons in discipline, perseverance, and goal-setting—qualities that she carries into her professional life.

Professional Experience

Nicole’s professional career reflects her ability to thrive in diverse environments and roles. She started working at Longhorn Steakhouse in Massachusetts, in 2015 as a server and bartender. The fast-paced, high-pressure environment taught her to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, balancing customer orders, supplies, and customer service expectations. Her ability to handle such a busy environment made her a reliable team member, and she soon became a trainer, helping new hires learn the ropes. She also earned a bartending diploma and became ServSafe-qualified during her time at Longhorn, gaining valuable skills that would support her career in hospitality.

In 2019, Nicole transitioned to a new career path, taking a position as a sales associate at Verizon Wireless in Burlington, Massachusetts. The shift from food service to retail was significant, but she adapted quickly. She consistently exceeded her individual sales goals and key performance indicators, demonstrating her strong communication skills and customer-focused approach. Her ability to understand customer needs and resolve issues helped her build a loyal client base and exceed performance expectations.

In November 2019, Nicole joined Burton’s Bar and Grill in Westford, Massachusetts, as a service waitress. In this role, she applies the skills she honed in her previous jobs, including handling orders, processing payments, and managing customer interactions in a fast-paced environment. Her extensive experience in customer service and hospitality continues to make her a standout team member at Burton’s.

Community Engagement and Charity Work

Nicole has remained committed to giving back to her community outside of her professional life. From 2006 to 2012, she was involved in various March of Dimes campaigns, where she helped raise funds to support families with premature babies and those affected by congenital disabilities. Her active participation in these campaigns allowed her to contribute to a cause close to her heart while developing valuable leadership and organizational skills.

One significant cause for Nicole was the Team Shelby campaign. Her cousin Shelby was born prematurely and weighed just one pound and ten ounces. Through the team's efforts, she and her family helped raise funds for Shelby’s medical expenses. Today, Shelby is a healthy young woman, and her involvement in this campaign is a testament to her compassion and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
